Your First Dispensary Visit

Everything to bring, ask, and remember for your first trip to an Oklahoma dispensary.

• Bring your OMMA patient license (and a backup photo of it on your phone).
• Bring a government photo ID.
• Bring cash — many shops are cash-first; check if they have an ATM or accept debit.
• Know your rough budget before you go.
• Decide what you want help with (sleep, pain, relaxation, focus) so the budtender can guide you.
• Start low: ask for low-dose options, especially with edibles.
• Ask how to read the label — THC %, total cannabinoids, and the COA/lab results.
• Ask about first-time-patient discounts and daily deals.
• Ask what point-of-sale system they use and whether your info is shared (see patient-privacy).
• Don’t drive impaired — plan your trip home.
