How we research

OK Cannabis Directory exists to inform and protect Oklahoma medical-marijuana patients. Here's how we hold our content to a standard you can trust.

Independence

We don't sell rankings, and we don't let anyone pay to change what our guides say. Dispensary order is driven by patients and data, never by money. Our education exists to serve patients first.

Primary sources

We anchor claims to primary sources — Oklahoma statutes, OMMA rules, court decisions, and official documentation — and we link them so you can read them yourself. When we describe a company's product, we rely on that company's own published materials.

Accuracy & honesty

We don't overstate the law. We use careful language ("may," "raises questions") where the law is genuinely uncertain, and we say so when something is untested or unconfirmed. We'd rather be accurate than dramatic.

Information, not advice

Our content is general information, not medical or legal advice, and it doesn't create a professional relationship. For your specific situation, talk to a licensed Oklahoma physician or attorney.

Corrections & review

Our guides carry a "last reviewed" date and are updated as laws and facts change. If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page or the "report a problem" link on any page, and we'll fix it.

Who writes this

Articles are produced by the OK Cannabis Directory editorial team, an independent, Oklahoma-focused group writing plainly and protectively for OMMA patients.
