Review Guidelines
Patient reviews help Oklahomans choose where to shop and who to see. To keep them honest and useful, every review on OK Cannabis Directory follows a few simple rules. Last updated June 2026.
- 01
Write from your own first-hand experience
Reviews must describe a visit, purchase, or appointment you personally had. Second-hand experiences — "my friend said," "I heard that" — are not allowed. The goal is honest, useful guidance for other Oklahoma patients.
- 02
You need a verified account
You must be signed in with a verified email to post. This keeps reviews tied to real people and cuts down on spam and fake posts. We do not require proof of purchase, but reviews flagged as fraudulent will be removed.
- 03
Keep it relevant and respectful
Focus on the things that help another patient choose — service, selection, value, wait times, the space itself. No personal attacks, no targeting a specific employee beyond their service, no profanity or harassment, and no political or off-topic rants. "Be honest, be fair" is the standard.
- 04
No conflicts of interest
If you own, work for, or are connected to a dispensary or practice, you may not review it — or its competitors. Businesses may never offer incentives or ask customers to post positive reviews. Reviews written to market a business, or that read as advertising, will be removed.
- 05
No spam, ads, or links
No promotional content, no links to other sites, no duplicate or copied reviews, and no contact-harvesting. One genuine review per business is plenty — you can edit yours later to update your experience.
- 06
Keep it recent and truthful
Reviews should reflect a reasonably recent experience so they stay useful. Do not post anything false, misleading, or that you cannot stand behind. Complaints that a business is simply following the law (taxes, required ID checks, state rules) are not grounds for a review.
- 07
No private or unsafe information
Never include anyone’s personal information, medical details, or anything that identifies a patient. Keep yourself and others safe.
How moderation works
Reviews post right away — we don't make you wait. After that, our team and the community keep an eye on them: anyone can flag a review that breaks these rules, and an admin reviews every flag. We may remove or hide reviews that violate the guidelines above.
Businesses can respond to reviews and can flag ones they believe break the rules — but they cannot delete honest, first-hand reviews simply for being negative. That's the whole point: real experiences, fairly moderated, with no paid rankings and no pay-to-remove.
These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. To report a review that breaks them, use the Report a problem link in the footer or contact us. Reviews are opinions of individual patients, not medical or legal advice.
