Oklahoma Marijuana Possession Limits

How much cannabis an OMMA patient can legally carry and keep at home in Oklahoma — flower, concentrate, edibles, and plants, with the exact limits.

As an OMMA patient, Oklahoma lets you carry and store generous amounts of cannabis — among the most permissive limits of any medical state. Here is exactly how much is legal at one time.

On your person vs. at home

The law treats the cannabis you carry differently from what you keep at home. You may have up to 3 ounces of flower on your person in public, but up to 8 ounces stored at your residence. Concentrates (1 ounce) and edibles (72 ounces) share the same limit whether you’re out or at home.

How buying works

Because there’s no purchase cap, the only thing that limits a shopping trip is the possession ceiling. Plan around the 3-ounce on-person flower limit when you leave a shop. Ready to stock up? Find a licensed dispensary near you in the directory.

Growing your own counts too — see home cultivation limits before you plant.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a daily purchase limit in Oklahoma?
No. Oklahoma sets possession limits, not daily or monthly purchase caps. You may buy as often as you like, but you cannot legally possess more than the limits below at any one time.
Do home-grown plants count toward my limit?
Yes. Cannabis you harvest at home counts toward the 8-ounce in-residence flower limit. Plants themselves are counted separately (6 mature plus 6 seedlings per patient).
What happens if I'm over the limit?
Possessing more than the legal limits can expose you to criminal charges even as a cardholder. See our penalties guide.
